The East Jerusalem YMCA Rehabilitation Program (YMCA-RP) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization established in 1989 to offer quality rehabilitative services to youth who were disabled,injured or traumatized as a result of political violence.SC Sweden, SC Denmark and (YMCA-RP) seek a Project Manager for the programme “Post-Trauma Rehabilitation of Palestinian ex-detainee children in the West Bank”.
Job Title: Project Manager
Project: Post-Trauma Rehabilitation of Palestinian ex-detainee children
Location: West Bank/ Jerusalem
Contract: One year with possibility for extension
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee project management functions, including technical, human resources and finance, under the direct supervision of the SCS Country Advisor, and YMCA director
• Increase the capacity of the projects’ staff through on the job training and enrolling in staff development opportunities
• Assess project staff capacity and, where necessary, provide training in skills needed to implement the project, such as report writing, budget compliance, monitoring and planning.
• Develop and maintain sound partner relationships with project beneficiaries through regular visits (three times weekly across the West Bank), continuous follow up, technical support and representation
• Prepare monthly, annual and end-of-project narrative reports
Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree in Psychology, Social Sciences, or relevant fields
• Requires a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in psychosocial sector, a minimum of 2 years
of which must have been in a supervisory role, previous ECHO experience is an asset
• Demonstrated experience in project management: planning, monitoring and evaluation
• Fluent English is a must
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrate leadership skills, initiative, and a sincere commitment to team work
