Job Description

The purpose of the position is to manage a project funded from ECHO under the Education in Emergency (EIE) sector.  Through this funding, World Vision JWG is implementing a 24 month project targeting 61 schools across the West Bank, with locations in Area C. The project will be implemented in partnership with Teacher’s Creativity Center (TCC). The overall objective of the project is to contribute to an enabling and safe education environment that provides critical physical and psychosocial support to children affected by the ongoing conflict, insecurity, and protracted crisis. The project design includes two main result areas: (1) Vulnerable boys and girls in targeted areas have access to safe quality education, social and emotional learning, and protection services; and (2) Children and education staff are protected and prepared against crises in a safe learning environment.  The successful candidate should have experience in the implementation of EIE programs or projects in the West Bank, preferably with a background in the rollout or scale-up of remedial education initiatives in school and in community settings. A professional background in protection or PSS in education will be highly desired.

Job Requirements
  • University degree in Education, Development, psychology or other related field. A degree in Project Management Cycle is an asset.
  • At least 5 years of progressive work experience in managing grants specifically EU and ECHO grants
  • Solid knowledge in Microsoft Office and other applications
  • Excellent command of oken and written English
  • Experienced in developing M&E tools, quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
  • Experience in project management cycle
  • Experience in managing project related to Education in Emergency, psychosocial support, catch-up classes and school preparedness.
  • Understanding of humanitarian relief, recovery, and development work
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • The position requires ability and willingness to travel up to 50% domestically to project sites.
