 Job Summary

MA’AN is planning to implement a project aimed at enhancing the survival capacities of conflict-affected farmers and laborers in the Gaza Strip while boosting the local food supply chain. The intervention will combine the provision of EMPCA and agricultural inputs for farmers as well as the employment of skilled laborers to strengthen the resilience of both farmers and laborers and improve the local food supply chain

MA’AN is actively seeking a competent and highly qualified project manager to oversee the project activities, ensuring effective project management by consistently delivering appropriate technical, operational, financial, and administrative outputs.Top of Form

Job Requirements
  • Manage project activities according to the project timeline, within the project scope, and allocated budget.
  • Prepare and regularly update the project implementation plan.
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to facilitate the implementation of project activities.
  • Guide and supervise project staff to ensure the completion of the tasks and the fulfillment of their responsibilities.
  • Manage the project budget, ensuring adherence to financial plans.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with the current emergency, taking corrective actions and maintaining daily oversight of the project and the broader context.
  • Support the MA’AN M&E team in monitoring project activities, considering monitoring and evaluation mechanisms tailored to emergencies.
  • Ensure compliance with the donor regulations and requirements
  • Maintain data quality management procedures and provide regular reports to the donor and relevant clusters.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.
  • BA with at least 5 years of experience in Project Management, especially related to agricultural interventions in Emergencies
  • Experience in working within the NGO sector in similar positions.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing emergency projects effectively.
  • Strong ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, prioritize workload, and multi-task.
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills, and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, partners, and donors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS/Project, Word and Excel.
  • Fluency in both English and Arabic languages including both excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent reporting skills in both English and Arabic.
  • Advanced computer literacy.
