Project Manager
Vento di Terra is an INGO looking for a figure to join its staff in Palestine, with the role of Project Manager for a project co-financed by the Italian Agency for Cooperation and Development (AICS), which aims to improve access to protective educational facilities and services, integrated psycho-social support services, and protection and legal support mechanisms for the Palestinian Bedouin population exposed to violations in Area C.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Overall project management and coordination (planning, direction, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation) under the supervision of the Project Supervisor and the Country Representative of VdT;
- Administrative and financial management, including project expenditure planning and monitoring, ensuring all documentation is properly recorded and filed according to internal procedures and donor rules;
- Selection and management of project staff;
- Narrative and financial reporting on the project, ensuring deadlines are met;
- Conduct field visits and/or follow/co-ordinate those carried out by project staff for the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the project;
- Supervise the technical aspects of activities, in coordination with the technical team of project partners/stakeholders;
- Ensure compliance with donor and VdT procedures and rules;
- Ensure technical review of project reports, studies conducted, and evaluation reports;
- Maintain constant communication flow with the Italy office and the project donor;
- Participate in relevant Clusters and Working Groups;
- Manage relationships with local institutions, partners, and stakeholders involved in the project’s implementation to ensure their active participation and correct project execution.

Qualifications and experience:
- A degree in a relevant field obtained at least 3 years ago and/or a Master's in International Cooperation;
- At least 3 years of proven work experience in a similar position within the development cooperation sector at civil society organizations; knowledge of project management and reporting procedures;
- At least 2 years of proven work experience in emergency contexts, preferably in the Middle East;
- Strong managerial and organizational skills in managing internal and external relations, particularly with partners, and effectively acting as a team member;
- Motivation, flexibility, ability to take initiative, and work independently in stressful situations;
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills;
- High level of IT skills (Windows, Office Suite);
- Excellent knowledge of English and Italian (C1 or C2, both written and spoken), knowledge of Italian is a plus.
Preferable requirements:
- Previous experience in Palestine and other complex areas in the Middle East;
- Previous experiences in managing Italian Cooperation funded projects;
- Knowledge of Italian.
