Project Manager
Ministry of Education & Higher Education (MEHE) is willing to recruit a Project Manager to
manage and supervise the project «Construction and Rehabilitation of Schools in the West Bank
and Gaza Strip” which is funded by the Government of the Kingdom of Belgium.

Duration:
The duration of the services is expected to be (2 years) two years or as necessary to execute the
project.

Requirements and Qualifications:
-At least Bachelor in Civil Engineering with (8 years) Eight Years minimum experience, at least
three years in project management;
-Considerable experience in managing large scale projects such as schools and hospitals;
-Working experience with donors and proved knowledge in World Bank procurement procedures
is an asset;
-Excellent command of written and spoken English and Arabic;
-Registered with Engineers Association- Jerusalem Center;
-Excellent command of relevant computer applications including word processing ,spreadsheets,
database, and handling internet applications;
-Must have strong teamwork and leadership abilities.

The Project Manager is expected to perform the following tasks:
-Overall planning of the project activities;
-Organizing and coordinating MEHE inputs in the project;
-Organizing, coordinating and supervising the implementation of project activities in accordance
with the approved project work plans;
-Supervise engineers and consultants during the preparation and tendering of contracts for procurement of works, goods and services;
-Submit periodical technical and financial reports to BTC representation office according to a
BTC standard requirements;
-Provide financial management, accounting and timely compilation of quarterly progress reports
and budgeted work plans for the following period for consideration by the Project Steering
Committee (PSC);
-Assume the role of the secretariat for the Project Steering Committee (dissemination of reports,
proposal of agendas, drafting of minutes of PSC meetings etc);
-Compilation of the project final report at the end of the project;
-Coordination and networking with other national and international partners.
