Project Officer

 

Dar El Shifaa Medical Welfare Society, a Palestinian NGO based in Bethlehem, is currently
cooperating with Disarmo e Sviluppo (DI-SVI), an Italian non-governmental organisation
(NGO), in the implementation of the project “Support to the Bedouin population living in
Bethlehem and Hebron districts”.
The Project aims at improving access to health services and increasing health and hygiene awareness in the Bedouin communities by providing mobile clinic services, improving availability of health facilities and equipment, and provide health education and training to specific target groups.
Dar El Shifaa Medical Welfare Society is looking for a Project Officer who will be in charge of effectively supporting project management and implementation, thus ensuring the successful execution of project activities according to objectives and time-frames. This position is based in Bethlehem with frequent visits to project areas.
Job requirements:
Qualification:
1- Bachelors degree in management, public health or other relevant disciplines.
2- Higher degree in development studies, project management or similar would be an advantage.
Experience:
1- At least 2 years of Project Management or Support experience in the non-profit/NGO sector
2- Good experience in health care and/or health education fields.
3- Sound project management skills and knowledge of appropriate project management tools.
3- Good knowledge and experience of using MS Office applications
4- Excellent command of written and spoken English
5- Valid driving licence.

3- Ability to plan own work, set priorities and complete it under pressure.
4- Ability to prepare clear and concise reports
5-Excellent organisational skills.
