Background:
INJAZ Palestine is an independent Palestinian organization non-profit NGO dedicated to giving young people the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their future, and make smart academic and economic choices. INJAZ programs are delivered by corporate and community volunteers, who provide relevant, hands-on experiences that give students the knowledge and skills in Financial Literacy, Work Readiness and Entrepreneurship.
INJAZ in partnership with the UNICEF is implementing a one year project aiming to empower youth aged 15-17 and equip them with the needed business knowledge, 21th century skills, and practical experience that will enhance their opportunity to enter the job market as qualified employees or entrepreneurs, and assure their active engagement within their communities.
Objective:
INJAZ Palestine is looking for a dynamic and creative Project Officer who will be able to coordinate, execute, and assess the success and challenges of the project in four main areas (Ramallah, Nablus, Jenin, and Hebron) through the collaboration with INJAZ Operational Officers present in those areas.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Contribute to INJAZ overall strategy and plan through the development and management of the project and activities.
- Coordinate and assure the execution of INJAZ programs, monitor and ensure high quality implementation, and evaluate the progress of the project against targets.
- Contribute in sustaining strong relationships with the educational and private sector.
- Develop relationships and manage communications with various media outlets including radios, newspapers, TV channels, etc., according to the project’s mandates.
- Monitor the Management Information System to ensure the documentation of actual and accurate data.
- Prepare reports, provide feedback and recommendations on regular basis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, International Relations, Social Sciences, or other related fields
- At least 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in NGOs or youth related projects
- Knowledge in project management, implementation, and evaluation
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English and Arabic
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- Proficient knowledge in computer programs
- Valid driving license
