Project Officer
Job Description
ACTED is a French humanitarian international NGO working in the West Bank and Gaza Strip since 2007. We are seeking:
Short term Project Officer (Job Code: ACTEDG0501)
Start date: Full time position. Based in Gaza City,
the Project Officer will bear the following main responsibilities:
Program Support:
1-Contribute to the elaboration of program work-plans and timelines
2-Under supervision of the project manager, ensure project outcomes are being met and activities are implemented according to pre-set work plans – including coordination with logistics, finance and AME (Assessment, Monitoring and Evaluation) departments
3-Conduct daily field visits to ensure project activities (e.g. training) are being implemented correctly, follow up on issues in the field
4-Follow up with partner organizations
5-Prepare daily program reports
6-Facilitate the work of AME team
7-Maintain and update relevant project files and documentation.
8-Assist other staff and projects as needed
Required Skills:
-University degree in social studies or related field preferred
-Minimum 3 years experience with NGO/INGO, preferably for psychosocial education or early childhood related projects
-Excellent computer skills including Excel
-Excellent English and Fluent Arabic
-Must hold a valid driver’s license (at least 1 year)
-Strong communication skills
-Highly organized and able to prioritize and meet deadlines effectively
