Dunya Women’s Cancer Association is a nonprofit organization, it was Established in Ramallah in 10/01/2022. Dunya Association believes that quality health is a right for all and works to provide free services for marginalized groups and social hardship cases, which annually form more than 30% of the total number of beneficiaries

 Mission: Dunya Association works to protect women and girls from tumors by providing quality preventive and diagnostic services for women's tumors, increasing societal awareness of the importance of early detection, and influencing policies and legislation.

 Dunya Women’s Cancer Center was established in Ramallah in 2011 as a non-profit center and since 2022 dunya is under the umbrella of Dunya Women's Cancer Association. It is the first and only center in Palestine specialized in diagnosing breast and gynecological tumors.

The center has a multidisciplinary team including but not limited to: radiologists, radiology technicians, oncologist, Oncological surgery doctor, women’s doctor, nurses, lab technician and administrative staff.

Job Summary: The Project Officer will oversee and coordinate the delivery of services related to breast & gynecological cancer screening, diagnosis, psychological support, and post-operative physiotherapy. This role includes managing project activities, ensuring quality control, and evaluating project outcomes to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of our services.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Implementation:
  • Develop and manage project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation for screening, diagnostic, psychological, and physiotherapy services.
  • Coordinate with healthcare professionals, psychologists, physiotherapists, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Oversee the implementation of screening programs, diagnostic procedures, psychological support interventions, and physiotherapy treatments.
  • Service Coordination and Management:
  • Facilitate collaboration between various service providers to offer comprehensive care for women with breast cancer and their families.
  • Ensure all services are delivered in accordance with established protocols, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Address and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the service delivery process.

 

  1. Monitoring and Evaluation:
  • Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess the effectiveness and quality of services provided.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to service outcomes, patient satisfaction, and overall project performance.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on project progress, challenges, and achievements to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, community organizations, and funding agencies.
  • Communicate project goals, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders in a clear and transparent manner.
  • Organize and lead meetings, workshops, and training sessions as needed.
  • Budget and Resource Management:
  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Monitor expenditures and ensure adherence to financial guidelines and constraints.
  • Identify and address resource needs to support project activities and service delivery.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in the provision of breast cancer services.
  • Implement quality assurance measures to maintain high standards of care and service delivery.
  • Conduct regular audits and evaluations to ensure adherence to protocols and continuous improvement.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management, or Business Administration or Public Health, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., PMP) is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably within a healthcare or cancer care setting. Experience in managing services related to breast cancer screening, diagnosis, psychological support, or physiotherapy is highly desirable.
  • Skills:
    • Strong project management skills with experience in planning, execution, and evaluation.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
    • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
    • Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
    • Knowledge of breast cancer care protocols and standards.
