SPARK is planning to hire a project officer under direct supervision of the Programme Manager and the regional team.
About you
The Project Officer will be a flexible multi-tasker eager to learn and grow in project management while supporting programme implementation. You will assist in organizing outreach sessions, presenting programme information, and coordinating partnerships with various stakeholders. Additionally, you should have digital marketing skills, including content creation and design, to enhance programme visibility. A proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and the ability to work independently are key for success in this role.
About the role
Reporting to the Programme Manager, the Project Officer will work closely with the country team and partner institutions to support the implementation of SPARK’s programmes. You will assist in coordinating with programme stakeholders, including chambers of commerce, business support organisations, incubators, governmental bodies, universities, private sector entities, and NGOs. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their project management skills while contributing to digital marketing and communications.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities
The responsibilities and tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting in organizing and facilitating outreach sessions to promote programmes, ensuring engaging and effective presentations;
- Supporting partnership coordination with local stakeholders, including maintaining regular communication and assisting with collaboration;
- Helping local partners with project implementation and ensuring smooth execution;
- Assisting in the coordination of community events, networking activities, and outreach sessions in collaboration with local stakeholders;
- Creating visually appealing presentations and marketing materials to enhance programme communication and visibility;
- Supporting procurement and logistical needs for project implementation;
- Assisting with digital marketing efforts, including social media content creation, promotional campaigns, and graphic design using tools like Canva and Adobe Photoshop;
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Development, International Relations, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Digital Marketing, Media, or Communications).
- 1-2 years of experience in project support, coordination, or assistance, ideally in entrepreneurship, SMEs, start-ups, education, or green business development.
- Willingness to learn project management and develop skills in programme implementation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to assist in partnership coordination.
- Experience in organizing outreach sessions, public speaking, and delivering engaging presentations.
- Familiarity with digital marketing, content creation, and design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Photoshop).
- Proficiency in Arabic and English (both written and spoken).
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Interest in organizing events/workshops and willingness to support in logistics and procurement.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and work independently.
