Islamic Relief (IR) is a humanitarian NGO working in Palestine since 1998. Islamic Relief helps the needy people without regard to creed, race, gender, or ethnicity. It works on achieving economic and social welfare through its joint development and emergency programmes with the local community.


Title: Project Officer.
Project: Family Sponsorship Project
Ref: PO-E-25-2010
Location: Gaza Office
Duration: 12 months – (full time)
Main duties : The Project Officer will be responsible for the administration of day-to-day operations, monitoring and reporting of the Family Sponsorship Project and supervision of Gaza Strip staff, Co-ordinate with local partner and other official agencies, and will report directly to the Emergency Programme manager.

Candidates must possess the following competencies:
1-University degree preferably in administration, development, social work or a related field.
2-A minimum of three years experience of working for an international NGO
3-Proven record of effective coordination and supervisory experience.
4-Excellent report writing and communication skills in projectmanagement.
5-Knowledge and understanding of the main issues affecting Palestinian poor families.
6-Budgeting skills.
7-Excellent skills in English language (writing and speaking).
8-Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet
