Projects Assistant
Duty Station: Jerusalem
Duration: 3 months (with possible extension)
Position: Full-time
Deadline: Friday, 02 October 2009

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

The Projects Assistant, in relation to the projects and activities under the
Women Human Rights Unit, will, among other duties and responsibilities:
provide administrative support in preparing contracts documents and making
sure that all documents needed for issuing contracts and requesting
payments are completed and available on file; provide logistical support;
assist in project formulation and reporting; assist in the implementation
and regular monitoring of the projects; assist in ensuring continuous and
smooth coordination and flow of information with project partners; assist
in the daily coordination and implementation of projects-related activities;
assist in liaising and following up with women's organizations, local
NGOs, government agencies and donors as per the related projects.

Qualifications:
High School or Diploma; 2 to 3 years of working experience as Project Assistant. Demonstrated communication, facilitation and networking skills.
Ability to work under tight deadlines. Excellent interpersonal and problem- solving skills. Flexibility. Ability to work independently as well as in team. Excellent communication and writing skills in both English and Arabic. Previous working experience in the UN system will be an asset.
