Position: Projects Coordinator

Full-time Position

Location: Beit Sahour

Duration of Contract: 24 months

Reports to: Executive Director (ED)

Anar is a not-for-profit organization situated in Beit Sahour, Palestine. Our work is centered on advancing the psychosocial wellbeing and resilience of children who have been impacted by violence and oppression. We are committed to improving the lives of these children through various programs and interventions that prioritize their mental and emotional wellbeing.

Job Summary:

At Anar, we believe that community-based psychosocial support and creative expression are fundamental pathways to community development and healing. Through awareness, advocacy, and community-based psychosocial services, we aim to break the cycle of oppression and intergenerational trauma and build community capacity for collective resilience and hope.

The Project Coordinator will play a crucial role at Anar for Empowerment and Psychosocial Support, utilizing psychosocial support and empowerment as tools to build a resilient and thriving community. This position requires a specialist with experience in project management, particularly in projects related to psychosocial support. The candidate must manage and coordinate all activities and events within the project to achieve the desired outcomes and impact according to the project goals. This includes managing the work plan, budget, and performing monitoring and evaluation tasks in close collaboration with partners and beneficiaries. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that results are achieved on time and with high efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of mental health and psychosocial support programs within the project framework.
  •  Monitor progress during project implementation, collect data, and analyze results to continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of programs and interventions.
  •  Fully manage the project, ensuring that project activities comply with timelines and quality standards.
  • Ensure project implementation and reporting according to Anar's internal policies and procedures, as well as donor project regulations and procedures.
  •  Document and evaluate data collection related to all project activities.
  •  Regularly monitor budget utilization and ensure timely reporting.
  •  Develop monitoring and evaluation systems to track project progress and address any obstacles.
  •  Develop work plans for project staff and monitor their progress and provide guidance and support to field staff.
  • Draft Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) and agreements with partners and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate project-related human resource issues and provide any necessary support related to the project.
  • Develop Terms of Reference (TORs) and provide services to conduct specific activities as planned in the project action plan according to Anar's regulations and procedures.
  • Prepare reports and track and measure impact according to Anar's procedures and as stipulated in the agreement with the donor.
  • Organize and conduct workshops and meetings with project partners and key participants.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by management.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • A university degree in Business Administration, Psychology, Social Work, or any other related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in project cycle management and budget control, with a focus on psychosocial support and community mental health.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Proficient in both field and office work.
  • Excellent computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications.
  • High commitment and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to coordinate and manage projects, including complex reporting procedures.
  • Excellent English and Arabic reporting skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to conduct training.
  • Ability to work within a team and handle emergencies and crises.
  • Commitment to the principles of protection from sexual exploitation and abuse.
  • Commitment to the principles of child protection, equality, and social justice.
