Projects Finance & Technical Officer

St John Eye Hospital Group is the leading provider of eye care in East Jerusalem, the West Bank, and Gaza Strip. The main Hospital is in Jerusalem and has centers in Hebron, Anabta, Kufur Aqab and in Gaza. In addition to our extensive range of specialist services, to provide full and comprehensive high standard refraction and optemtric service to the patients attending the outreach clinic in collaboration with the medical, nursing and AHP staff. 

 We are currently seeking to recruit a Projects Finance & Technical Officer on full – time basis -     5 days/week. The position will be based at the main Hospital in Jerusalem.

To apply you should have the following:

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in projects financial management
• Educated to a B.A degree level in Finance or Accounting
• Prior experience in using accounting systems.
• Proven experience in managing project budgets and other grant management activities.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to manage complex budgets.
• Excellent written and communication skills in English and Arabic.
• Good presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Prior experience in the NGO sector as well as the community-based organisations.
• Experience and understanding of working in partnerships and sensitivity to cultural norms.
• Proficiency in MS Office Applications including Excel.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Willingness and the ability to travel regularly in the area, and aboard, is essential.
• Commitment to the values and principles of SJEHG.

• Received COVID-19 vaccine.
