Projects’ Manager
Position Type: Full Time, exempt (not eligible to receive overtime pay)

Position Summary:
The Projects Manager, at UPA Ramallah Office, is a member of UPA’s Field Operations Team. The primary responsibility of the Projects Manager is to assist in accomplishing UPA's goals and objectives by managing projects, supervising and coordinating program activities, particularly in the health sector, community development, etc. This involves managing, monitoring, and supporting ongoing and new projects and collaborating closely with UPA partners and other staff Members. This position reports to the Senior Regional Director of Field Operations.
Specific responsibilities include:
1. Plan and implement all projects’ activities, according to the projects’ work plan.
2. Plan and manage projects’ finances (Budget tracking), procurement activities, logistics, and materials for the implementation of the projects’ activities.
3. Responsible and accountable for the performance of the project/s team including the partners (if applicable), in terms of outputs, quality, efficiency, and compliance with both UPA and donor’s rules and policies.
4. Lead and write work plans, monthly narrative updates, field reports, progress reports, annual narrative, and support to develop financial reports as required by UPA and/or the donor.
5. Coordinate with relevant UPA team to conduct due diligence requirements.
6. In cooperation with the procurement staff, prepare tender documents, participate in analyzing bids, and recommend contractors to supervisors.
7. Verify requests for payment.
8. Oversee UPA projects’ activities under UPA program areas with UPA partners and relevant stakeholders.
9. Conduct field visits to different projects locations and meet with beneficiaries/partners/community reps to make sure that all activities are implemented in the best way, and according to the plans.
10. Working with the regional MEAL manager to monitor and track health program effectiveness. This may involve developing M&E plans, analyzing data, collecting feedback from program participants and partners, and making adjustments as necessary to ensure that programs are meeting their intended goals working along with the program managers in each location.
11. Follow up with UPA team and partners on the delivered project reporting and its usability for UPA’s marketing material requirements.
12. Work closely with the communication team to ensure all communication/visibility requirements are met.
13. Provide technical support to other interventions in Lebanon or Jordan, as applicable.
14. Participate in UPA meetings and external meetings as required. Active participation and representation of UPA in governmental, national, international/UN and health related platforms and clusters.
15. Contribute to the development and growth of UPA’s Health and Wellness Strategy, in alignment with UPA’s 5-year strategic plan and in collaboration with relevant colleagues.
16. Any other relevant tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:
- A master’s degree in public/community health, Health management, or other health related fields.
- At least 3 years’ experience with non-profit or development organizations and experience in managing health-related projects/interventions.
- Strong skills in writing donor and other reports.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) in both Arabic and English.
- Excellent team player.
- Ability to follow up on multiple activities and projects.
- Flexible and adaptable to change.
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
- Experienced user of Microsoft Office Suite.
