Projects Officer
Job Purpose:
The Projects Officer will be in charge of supporting the Office coordinator in ensuring smooth management and performance of the identified Office tasks: it will include development and implementation of projects, including project plans, policies and solutions and contributes to issue resolution and escalation, research, analysis activities and planning and monitoring activities. In addition the post holder will support financial and administrative management, arrangement of logistic, procurement and provision of administrative support to Salesian centres and partners. The successful applicant will be provided with the necessary training and will be involved in all staff training sessions covering a variety of topics.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and develop project proposals and budget plans according to the instructions and the needs
- Prepare narrative and financial reports in coordination with administrative staff
- Establishment and management of relationships with the fathers in the charge of each Salesian Centre in order to support them in the project activities
- Provision of logistical support to projects’ implementation
- Conduction of need assessment, studies and monitoring operations even through field visits abroad
- Ensure communication and information of partners and donors of the Salesian province Middle East
- mapping the new potential donors and stakeholders for the PDO
- carry out any other task or assignment in line with the PDO mandate and mission as indicated by the employer
Qualification
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Social sciences, Development Studies, International Sciences, economics
Experience
- Experience in the charity sector.
- Experience of general administration
- experience in managing a range of support tasks on different issues
Skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organisational and effective time management skills
- Good ICT skills including software packages e.g. Word and Excel
- Excellent writing, synthesis and presentation skills.
- Project cycle management skills
Ability
- Fluency in spoken and written English. Knowledge of Italian language is an asset.
- Ability to work in a team while operating in autonomy
- Excellent computer skills in Word and Excel
- Tact and diplomacy at all times

The successful candidate will be hired with an initial 3-months traineeship contract formula.
Full- time occupation. Duty Station: Bethlehem.
