Proposal Writing Assistant
Job Overview:
RWDS is seeking a Proposal Writing Assistant to the Director of Funding and Development. This role involves providing crucial support to the Director in preparing draft concept notes and proposals in line with the donor requirements and calls for proposals, by collecting data from field staff. Additionally, the role includes supporting in reviewing developed reports and donor requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare Draft Concept Notes and Proposals: Collect data from field staff to draft concept notes and proposals with all related annexes and budget for fundraising purposes, in line with donor requirements and calls for proposals.
- Review Reports and Donor Requirements: Support in reviewing developed reports and ensuring compliance with donor requirements.
- Mapping of donors: prepare a mapping of donors and conduct research on potential funding opportunities to identify new sources for financial support.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Director and team members to maintain alignment in work requirements and fundraising strategies.
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to the Director, including database maintenance and organization of fundraising materials.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Business, or any other related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in proposal writing and fundraising (internships or volunteer work is considered).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to craft compelling narratives.
- Strong research, organizational, planning skills, multi-tasking skills and time-management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work as part of a collaborative team.
- Attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
- Fluent English (writing, speaking, reading), fluent Arabic
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 2 years’ Experience with fundraising for nonprofits or similar sectors.
- Knowledge of nonprofit fundraising best practices and current trends.
