Médecins du Monde (MDM) France is an international medical organization, which has been present in the Palestinian territories since 1995. It operates in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank through offices located in Jerusalem, Gaza and Nablus.

Psychiatric Nurse , full-time
Duration: 8 Months –renewable.
Starting Date: As soon as possible

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS :
Working directly under the responsibility of the Nablus Field Coordinator, he/she will be delivering care and training and-or carrying out access to care activities in collaboration with local actors.
-The PSY Nurse participates in the development of MdM-F programs within the Nablus Governorate.
He/she brings technical support to the PHCC component of the mental health program.
-Implements supervision and in service training (preparation and implementation of training plan) in 5 Primary Health Care Centers for health staff and support the mental health staff in CMHC when needed and in collaboration with the psychologist.
-Conducts capacity building for the medical and paramedical teams working in the PHCC, and to the health officers and counselors working in the schools.
-Provide technical support related to the mental health in the PHCC and the referral system to MDM-F team in Nablus and in particular to the team leader, psychologists and monitoring and evaluation officer (based in Jerusalem)
-Follow up the implementation of MH referral system between Schools, PHCC and CMHC.
-Works in close collaboration with the CMHC and School teams, in order to reinforce the coherence of the project, under the technical supervision of the mental health referent.
-Updates the program according to the needs assessments and changes in the context, in collaboration with the mental health referent based in Nablus
-Supports the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer on the development of monitoring and evaluation tools
-Compilation of data / indicators for the PHCC component of the Mental Health programs and monthly reporting to the Field Coordinator, in coordination with the MH referent
-Support to the mental health strategy, in coordination with the mental health referent
-Contributes to build MDM-F program strategy and operational proposal writing for newly-identified projects in the Nablus Governorate specially in relation to all technical inputs related to mental health activities in the PHCCs, with the support of the mental health referent.
-Contributes to evaluate and report on regular basis on the general context, the evolution of health conditions and mental health situation in the Nablus region
-Participates in need assessment and situation analysis together with the field coordination team and the mental health referent, with specific report writing according to mental health needs and upon request from the Field Coordinator in Nablus.
-Evaluates on an ongoing basis the program reorientations in the PHCCs and the medical infrastructure to be allocated to the mission, the relevance of the program content with the respect to the assigned objectives and the progress made in the current programs in collaboration with the Nablus mental health team Support to advocacy:
-Participation on the data collection and up-dated information on activities and local context with the support of the mental health referent and the monitoring and evaluation officer (to be used for health advocacy)
Development of an epidemiological approach to be defined with the methodological support of mental Active health referent and the monitoring and evaluation officer. participation on communication campaigns under the supervision of the field coordinator

Profile
-At least two years of working experience with INGOs.
-In-depth knowledge and experience (both theory and practice) in psychopathology, University Degree as Nurse , Psychiatric and Psychological experience of three years.
-Experience and/or knowledge in the public health field
-Experience in development and implementation of training programs.
-Strong analytical and strategically capabilities.
-Strong field experience under potentially hazardous safety conditions,
-Outstanding communication qualities
-Competency of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
-Professional command of English and Arabic language (both written and spoken), French would be an assist.
