Psychologist

Médecins du Monde (MDM) France is an international medical organization, which has been present in the Palestinian territories since 1995. It operates in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank through offices located in Jerusalem, Gaza and Nablus.
For the increase of its activities in the Nablus Governorate, MDM is currently looking for qualified candidates to fill the positions of.
Position: Psychologist, full-time
Duration: 10 Month –renewable.
Qualifications and skills:
- University Degree as psychologist, Clinical Psychologist
- At least two years of working experience, with NGOs would be an asset.
- In-depth knowledge and experience (both theory and practice) in psychopathology, psychopharmacology, psycho-medical, and psychotherapy utilizing various approaches in
conducting individual therapy and group therapy
- Experience working with PHC
- Experience in training and monitoring and evaluation
- Good knowledge of administrating and analyzing the results of psychological assessments.
- Good communication skills and ability to work within a team
- Good command of English and Arabic language (both written and spoken).
- Good computer skills.
Main duties
1- To improve mental health care provided at Ministry of Health- Primary Health Care Centers (MOH PHCC); work in assistance to the MOH team at the PHCC, other partners and together with the MDM team; special focus on patient-doctor relationship
2- To evaluate the needs of PHC staff; to monitor and evaluate activities at the PHC level.
3- Provide individual and group therapy at the community level
4- Organize PHC trainings on mental health provided by MDM-F to MOH staff.
5- Participate in the referral system of Nablus Governorates by referring cases to appropriate structures.
6- Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships within Community Mental Health
Center (CMHC) team and with other structures and organizations.
