Doctors Without Borders (MSF) is an independent humanitarian medical aid organization committed to two objectives: providing medical aid whenever needed, regardless of race, religion, politics or gender, and raising awareness of the plight of the people who helps. MSF is working in more than 70 countries all around the world.

MSF –Spain is carrying out a psychological support program with medical and social component. The aim is to provide short-term psychotherapy to people affected by violence and conflict.

MSF-Spain is currently seeking to hire a full time Clinical Psychologist in Hebron. This position is starting in the beginning as soon as possible.

Main responsibilities of the position:

-Provide individual and group psychological support to beneficiaries according to MSF principles and protocols in order to improve the beneficiaries’ mental health.

-Support the implementation of psycho-education activities within the targeted community.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

-Bachelor in Psychology, Counselling or any other related areas.

-Minimum working experience of 2 years in clinical practice.

-Experience working with people affected by violence.

-Experience in conducting individual/family/group psychotherapies for adults, teenagers and children.

-Experience in community psycho-education and mental health interventions.

-Experience imparting trainings to organizations.

-Arabic and English essential (both written and spoken).

-Good written (history-taking) and computer skills: Word, Excel, Power Point.

Additional qualities desired:

-Masters and/or specialization in Clinical Psychology.

-Familiarity with evidence-based psychotherapeutic approaches and short term therapy.

-Previous experience with NGOs.

-Commitment towards principles and ethics of humanitarian aid.
