Public Relations/Communication Manager
Overall Purpose of the Job
Responsible to the General Manager for the development and effective implementation of public relations & media, strategies for the positioning and promotion of the Movenpiek Hotel Ramallah,
-Develop an effective database of local regional and international publications and media contacts,
-Ensure effective PR strategy & promote goodwill between the hotel & target markets,
- Handle all corporate press releases & dissemination of information to the media.
-Ensure that all publications and brochures from the properties meet high professional and quality standards according to the company visual identity guide.
-Handle all media invitations and other related correspondence.
-Develop an effective & strategic monthly public relations & promotional calendar of activities for the Movenpiek Hotel, F&B activities, Recreation and Rooms,
-Identify & pursue publicity opportunities to enhance the image of the Hotels & MHR.
- Forward relevant information to all diary & information pages in all relevant media.
-Establish and maintain, an effective working relationship
with all members of target media, electronic and print, local,national and international to encourage and maximize coverage of the properties and its events and MHR.
-Maintain database of all relevant media contacts with print deadlines.
-Organize Media Fam, Trips in co-ordination with, the Management and the Corporate office Responsible to feature all the hotel new developments in both local and international media.
Movenpick and other websites
-Update all relevant information & maintain all promotions on monthly basis.
- Monitor and edit on a timely basis individual hotel websites on Lanyon
-Identify appropriate and relevant search engines and websites and ensure and maintain an effective presence of the properties.
-Ensure that all material distributed to relevant websites are updated on regular basis
Profile
-University graduated with Degree in Communication Management. Degree in E-commerce Marketing management or Strategy Management a definite plus.
-Broad experience of communication with High Profile International Group or International Chain of Hotels and press office work is essential
-Experience in exercising innovative ideas.
-Good writing skills. Should be able to write for a variety of Medias including press celeases, publications and electronic media.
-Ability to deal with people at all levels in a confident manner.
-Proven ability to work under pressure with competing deadline.
-Ability to promote the values of the organization.
-Flexible approach to working irregular hours from time to time.
