The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an impartial, neutral and independent organization whose exclusively humanitarian mission is to protect the lives and dignity of victims of war and internal violence and to provide them with assistance.
The ICRC in Jerusalem is looking for a candidate to fill in the following post
PURCHASER
DEPARTMENT : Logistics
Place of employment : Jerusalem
Type of Contract : Unlimited
Starting Date : June 2009

Minimum required knowledge & experience:
• Diploma or university degree in Business
• 2 years work experience in a similar field
• Good command of written and spoken English, Arabic and Hebrew
• Good computer skills
• Good capacity of negotiation and communication
• High personal values
• Good knowledge of the local market.
• Jerusalem Resident
• Valid driving license with at least two years experience
General Duties & Responsibilities:
• Handles current purchases for ICRC operation in IL/OT/AT, ensures correct purchasing procedures
• Carries out statistics for the unit
• Takes part in the selection of suppliers
• Respect all rules and regulations as defined by the ICRC.
• Performs other duties as required
• Files all related documents
