Main outcome of the role:
The Radiology Resident will undergo specialized training in diagnostic imaging, including X-rays, CT scans, and ultrasound, to accurately interpret medical images and assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. The resident will work under the supervision of experienced radiologists, participate in clinical case discussions, and contribute to high-quality patient care through precise image analysis and reporting. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous learning in a fast-paced medical environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Conducted and interpreted diagnostic imaging studies, including X-ray, CT, and ultrasound.
- Assist in performing interventional radiology procedures under supervision.
- Analyze and report imaging results accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to support patient diagnosis and management.
- Participate in clinical case discussions, multidisciplinary team meetings, and teaching rounds.
- Following the daily duty recognized by the head of the radiology department or other consultant radiologists in the department.
- To closely liaise with all Hospital Consultants
- Stay updated on advancements in radiology technology, techniques, and best practices.
- Engage in research, academic activities, and quality improvement initiatives in the radiology department.
- Participate in compulsory Hospital based training i.e. Fire and Manual Handling renewal of ACLS/PALS when required etc.
- Adhere to hospital policies, radiation safety regulations, and medical ethics in daily practice.
- Perform and ensure that there are appropriate detailed notes and documentation in the patient medical record after the follow-up of the performed patient diagnosis and management.
- Communicate professionally with the hospital clients and the different hospital department employees.
- Follow the assignments given by the head of the Radiology department
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality of information.
- To carry out any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time and at the discretion of the Medical Director

Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- MD degree recognized by the MOHE and PMC
- Full registration with the Palestinian/Jordanian Medical Syndicate
- BLS / ACLS mandatory
- Experience at a senior level – a minimum of 1 year residency in radiology.
- To have passed the Israeli Professional Practice Examination.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Fluency in English and in Arabic.
- Ability to build credibility and trust with departments and staff and work effectively with them.
- Effective communication skills.
- Teamwork-oriented and demonstrated flexibility.
- Ability to work independently under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and demonstrate flexibility and creativity in planning and problem-solving.
- Respect and promote ethical values and human rights. In addition, maintain professional relationships and act as guides.
