Receptionist

Islamic Relief is a humanitarian INGO (www.irpal.ps) operating in Palestine in the fields of emergency relief and long-term development. Islamic Relief announces the following vacancies for its office in West Bank.

Title: Receptionist
Ref.: R-WB-04-2014
Location: Ramallah office.
Type of Position: Full time.
Duration: One year (Renewable).

Main Duties:
1-Provide information to callers and visitors.
2-Monitoring of all visitors to the office, assist visitors by providing directions and accurate information.
3-Deal with queries from the public.
4-Provide general administrative and clerical support.
5-Receive and sort mail and letters.
6-Maintain the reception area.
7-General administrative work (i.e. photocopying, sending faxes, etc).

Candidates must possess the following competencies &skills:
-Two years Diploma in secretary and office management after general secondary education.
-Two years’ experience in working for an international NGO.
-Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures.
-Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
-Knowledge of computers and relevant software applications.
-Good oral and written communication skills in English.
-Ability to work simultaneously on multiple tasks.
-Ability to work with people from different backgrounds and nationalities
-Excellent interpersonal skills, including patience, diplomacy, willingness to listen and respect for colleagues.
-Excellent communication and organizational skills.
