Remedial Teachers ( Math - English  )

Talents Program (Science)  (teaching will be in the English language for science)

 Tasks and Responsibilities:

1. Give English-Math- sessions for the remedial program students according to the general plan.
2. Give Science lessons in English for Talents Program.

-Follow the general plan

-Prepare and send a daily plan for each session at least one day before each session.

-Prepare content, material, worksheets, and other documents for the classes

-Be at the center at least half an hour before the start of the session to print out the material and to prepare the room for the session.

-Fill the attendance sheet and the evaluation sheet for each class.

-Be sure that the room is arranged, the windows are closed, and to turn off the AC after the end of each session.

2. Maintain high quality standards for the classes and workshops,

-Implement innovative teaching methods and attractive curricular activities

-Participate to training of teachers

-Benefit from the expertise of each program of the center and worldwide IECD educational projects

3. Monitor and evaluate the progress of the students

-Evaluate the students at the end of each month by filling a specific form.

-Prepare a weekly report about the sessions and send it to the coordinator by the end of each week.
- Collect socioeconomic data on the students and enter them in a database
- Identify and report success stories for communication purposes

4. Follow-up with the students' families

-Keep the student’s parents informed 2 times a year about their child progress

-Call the student’s parents in case of absence

-Participate and organize events for the student’s parents and their child

5. Participate to the implementation of events and activities for the community& the center’s beneficiaries

- Participate to the implementation of events and activities for the community and the center’s beneficiaries,

-Participate to the implementation of summer and winter camps.

Academic and Professional Qualifications and Experience

• University degree in English-Math-Sciience .
• Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience in similar position.
• good level of spoken and written English
• Good knowledge of the Palestinian Education system
• Strong interest on innovative teaching methods
• Able to work under pressure and able to work within a team.
