The United Nation Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees / Cash-for-Work Project (CaWP), is seeking qualified candidates
for the following positions:
Vacant Post (1): Reporting Officer
Duty Station: UNRWA Field Office/ CaWP - Jerusalem
1-FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
In accordance with Agency policy and procedures, the incumbent:
1.1-Nature of Service:
The Reporting Officer works within the scope of achieving UNRWA West Bank emergency Job Creation Programme goals through effective communication and teamwork. He/She will be specifically in charge of the collection, consolidation and circulation of all information (operational and financial) on the programme to ensure transparency, monitoring and communication of/on the programme’s achievements.
1.2-Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the overall supervision of the programme manager, the Reporting Officer performs the following:
1-Draft a communication and reporting strategy to strengthen capacity and document progress, impact and lessons learned from the emergency Job Creation Programme;
2-Coordination with Public Information Office to maximize the visibility of the programme;
3-Plan monitoring activities in line with project’s weekly action plan;
4-Review incoming operational and financial reports in terms of completeness and a compliance with regulation and requirements;
5-Monthly consolidation of the collected data and evaluation of monitoring indicators based on objectives;
6-Monthly feedback to implementing staff on monitoring/evaluation indicators;
7-Organise, facilitate and accompany external/internal visits to the project sites;
8-Producing narrative and financial reports for donors, UNRWA and other stakeholders;
9-Assess needs for capacity building of programme’s monitors;
10-Build monitoring and evaluation capacities of implementing staff;
11-Prepare communication/visibility materials;
12-Develop programme’s filing system;
13-Perform any other duties as requested by programme manager.
A-Duties applicable to all program staff:
1-Maintain information sharing within the programme team.
2-Document programme methods and approaches to facilitate and to inform strategy.
3-Participate in and contribute to meetings.
B-lateral relationships:
Ensure and maintain effective relationships with UNRWA Public Information Department, External Relations Department and Emergency Appeal Coordination Unit.
C-Expected Deliverables:
The Reporting Officer shall prepare and submit the following reports, studies and or proposals to UNRWA during the term of this assignment:
-Weekly, monthly and quarterly progress reports of activity (monitoring & evaluation).
-Quarterly report on programme’s impact
-Projects proposals/ Concept papers
-Projects’ Interim Reports
-Projects’ Final Reports
D-MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
2-1 Academic and professional qualifications:
A university degree in a field relevant to the work profile, such as Development Studies, International Relations, Management, Business Administration, English Literature. Master degree in relevant
discipline is an asset.
2-2 Experience:.
-Minimum 3 years similar experience
-Sound experience in social assistance or community development projects
-Relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation
-Self supporting in IT (Windows, spreadsheets, word processing)
-Driving License is an asset
2-3 Language:
-Excellent English proficiency (native-level spoken and written)
-Arabic language proficiency is an asset
