Research and Policy Officer
Premiere-Urgence International (PUI) is an international, apolitical, non-religious and non-profit French organization intervening in 20 countries worldwide to provide a global response on the fundamental needs to victims of humanitarian crisis from the emergency to the restoration of their autonomy and dignity. Première-Urgence and Aide Médicale Internationale merged in 2011 to offer a better range of lifesaving care and life-changing assistance to communities affected by humanitarian crisis.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Main purpose of the job
The purpose of the role is to support the Head of mission and Advocacy – Communications Department in compiling and delivering accurate and updated information for a wide range of tools and purposes.
Key responsibilities
- Gathering data, analysing information and transforming it into comprehensive documents to be used for briefings, publications and maps’ designing.
- Providing regular updates: statistics, facts, policy on settler violence, settlement expansion, forced displacement, access restriction area (Gaza Strip).
- Supervising map’s designing: liaising with offices in Naplouse and Gaza; collecting information, designing maps together with the IT officer to support operational and advocacy activities.
- Editing policy briefs about the fields of activity led by Première Urgence Internationale.
- Advising senior staff management.
- Reporting project progress to supervisors and other colleagues.
- Keeping track of information in appropriate database.

- Master’s degree with a proven track of research papers.
- Demonstrated ability to compile and analyse information; to develop and lead research; to edit and update briefing notes;
- Ability to present complex information in a succinct and compelling manner.
- Fluency in English writing and presentation skills is required.
- Ability to be both proactive and reactive.
- Accurate.
- Ability to deliver on time.
- Being a team player.
Highly desirable
- Demonstrated track of research / edited material.
- Professional experience in a humanitarian organization in oPt preferred.
