Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to support our ongoing projects in social science research, and monitoring and evaluation assignments. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in social issues, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and implementation of research studies.
- Conduct literature reviews and synthesize findings.
- Collect, organize, and analyze qualitative and quantitative data.
- Prepare research materials, including training manuals, surveys and questionnaires.
- Assist in writing reports, articles, and presentations.
- Collaborate with team members and attend project meetings.
- Maintain accurate records of research activities and findings.
- Overall team support.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in social science, English Literature, Politics, Economics, Public Policy, Human Rights, Gender Studies, and Statistics or related field.
- Experience in research methods and data analysis.
- Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications is a must.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Candidates must have 1-2 years of experience.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with survey design and data collection methods.
- Knowledge of social science theories and frameworks.
- It is expected that a successful applicant will be open-minded, creative, industrious, and hold herself/himself to high personal standards. A willingness to work on multidisciplinary projects and teamwork are crucial values at AWRAD.
