The project “Strengthening the influence of Palestinian refugees on their living conditions in the MENA region (PART II)” was commissioned by the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) in December 2021 to improve the capability of Palestinian refugees to influence their living conditions. The project is active in the Palestinian Territories, Jordan and Lebanon and its main political partner is the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA). It works in close cooperation with its strategic partners on host government and civil society side as well. To support its operations, PARTII is looking for an intern to assist the project in research, reporting and general operations of its project activities.

Tasks and Functions include but are not limited to:
- Conduct thorough research on assigned topics, compile comprehensive summaries, and analyze data.
- Develop supporting content for communication materials such as fact sheets, presentations, and articles.
- Create and maintain summaries of relevant media coverage, ensuring easy access and reference.
- Assist in organizing meetings, workshops, and events, coordinating with participants and managing logistical arrangements.
- Prepare draft agendas and minutes for meetings with designated partners and distribute them to relevant stakeholders.
- Support monitoring activities by tracking project progress, compiling data, and preparing reports.
- Assist with general administrative tasks including scheduling, filing, and document management.
- Provide ad-hoc support to the project as required, ensuring efficient operation and task completion.

Required qualifications, competences and experience
- Master student or recently graduated bachelor’s in social science, political science, or equivalent field.
- Excellent command of English and Arabic (speaking, writing and reading)
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Proficient in drafting and documenting processes.
- Effective coordination and logistical planning abilities.
- Strong administrative and follow-up skills.
- Creative, innovative, excellent communication skills
- Fast learner, self-initiator, focused, team-player, highly motivated
