Resident Doctor in Ophthalmology

St John Eye Hospital Group is the leading eye care provider in East Jerusalem, the West Bank, and the Gaza Strip. The main Hospital is in Jerusalem and has centers in Hebron, Nablus, Kufur Aqab, and Gaza. In addition to our extensive range of specialist services, our team in the outreach clinic provides full and comprehensive high-standard primary eye care service to patients in the West Bank, Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip.

 St. John is currently seeking to recruit an experienced Resident Doctor in Ophthalmology to undertake a “four-year Ophthalmic Training Programme” on a full-time basis (100%) 5 days/week (40 hours) in addition to on calls. The position will be based at the main Hospital in Jerusalem. There will be rotations among the branches and the outreach clinic

To apply you should have the following:

1. BA degree in Medicine from a recognized medical school.
2. Preferable with experience in Internal Medicine.
3. Palestinian license to practice medicine for doctors from the West Bank.
4. Israeli license to practice medicine for doctors from Jerusalem.
5. Palestinian Medical Council Classification Exam (Surgical).
6. To have the USMLE Step 2 CK or IMLE (Israeli Medical License Exam).
7. To have a valid ACLS certificate.
8. Proficiency and fluency in English (spoken and written).
9. Received COVID-19 vaccine.
