BACKGROUND
ACTED (Agency for Technical Cooperation and Development) is an international NGO registered in France. ACTED’s vocation is to support vulnerable populations affected by wars, natural disasters and/or economic and social crises, and to accompany them in building a better future. ACTED started its activities in the occupied Palestinian territory in May 2007, through food security interventions in the West Bank and then in Gaza. ACTED is currently implementing a project funded
by the French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs – Crisis Centre, which aims at protecting livelihoods in Area C of the West Bank.

GENERAL RESPONSABILITIES
Under the supervision of the Country Director, the Response Coordinator is in charge of coordinating the ACTED emergency response to communities that have suffered from livelihood loss. Responsibilities include response design, implementation, documentation, and monitoring.

KEY TASKS
-Conduct detailed assessments of livelihood losses sustained by target communities
-Coordinate the assistance provided to communities affected by livelihood loss, together with the Palestinian Authority and all stakeholders.
-Draft contracts and ensure follow-up with suppliers
-Ensure the implementation of Procurement and Asset Management Guidelines
-Complete monthly reports related to procurement and assets
-Perform other tasks, as requested by the Country Director
-Comply fully with ACTED standards and principles

REQUIRED SKILLS
-A minimum of three years work experience in civil engineering and logistics is preferable
-Previous work experience with NGOs in similar position will be positively evaluated
-University degree in civil engineering or similar field
-Comfortable with frequent travel throughout the West Bank
-Professional attitude and ability to work in a team
-Accurate, reliable, open-minded, and a positive attitude
-Good in time management
-Willingness to improve skills and knowledge
-Capable in planning and problem solving
-Fluent Arabic and English, spoken and written
-Excellent IT skills
-Driving license
