In the occupied Palestinian Territory Save the Children implements large scale programs in the field of protection, education, food security, health and child rights governance. Save the Children’s ‘dual mandate’ means that humanitarian and emergency responses represent a core part of every program.
Save the Children is currently seeking to contract an experienced trainer to conduct training for the Child Protection professionals in the Ministry of Social Affairs (social workers/protection counselors and behaviour specialists) in two training cycles on the following topics:
1)Interviewing skills (child and family)
2)Communication and listening skills
3)Writing case report/ Documentation of cases
4)Case management and conference (Understanding concept and purposes)
5)Procedures and mechanisms to make a successful case management
6)Developing intervention plan
7)Counseling skills (Child and Family)
Duty station: Ramallah
Duration: 1-2 months

CALENDAR AND DELIVERABLES

QUALIFICATIONS
-Advanced degree in family and child care, psychology, welfare system management, child protection or related field.
-At least 10 years proven long standing experience in counseling skills, case management, child protection; and governmental systems and mechanisms.
-Extensive experience delivering trainings, with technical skills on relevant methodologies to the above topics.
-Proven familiarity and understanding with child rights and in-depth knowledge of national and regional government protection system.
-Ability to write training reports and analyze training evaluations.
-Fluent level of Arabic is essential (written and spoken), also English is preferred.
