“Training Consultancy for Three Short Technical Course on Web Development skills
for ICT Graduates and Professionals - Gaza Strip”
Mercy Corps is seeking a qualified Contractor to prepare and deliver three short technical courses during February and May 2014.

In Gaza, Mercy Corps implements the Palestinian Community Assistance Program (PCAP), a multi-sectorial, four year program funded by USAID. Under the economic development pillar of PCAP, Mercy Corps works to prepare youth or underemployed adults to become productive members of the workforce through skills training and professional development.
Objectives:
The main objective of the activity is to improve the Web development skills and marketplace capacities of ICT professionals and graduates. This will be accomplished through:
-Short, intensive training program, introducing highly marketable skills and information.
-A highly-competitive web development contest at the end of training which aims to get participant to write and develop interesting web applications, templates and games using what they will learn during the training and compete to win the contest.
The activity will further contribute to some of the wider program objectives, including:
-Creation of new income generation opportunities and increase the employment for youth in Gaza Strip.
-Increase the technical capacity and market readiness of the ICT sector in Gaza
-Develop the capacity of Gaza ICT sector workforce to respond to the market needs outside of the sector.
Target Group:
This activity will provide assistance to:
-Recent graduates of ICT or ICT- related degree programs; particularly those for whom ICT is a career or self-employment path.
-Recently employed/self-employed ICT professionals whose updated skills will enhance their future opportunities.
-Senior ICT students.

Gaza City, Phone No. 08‐282633. Deadline for bids collecting is Wednesday Feb 19th, 2014 12:00 PM.
Submissions for Gaza bidders should be on hard copies in sealed envelopes and must be delivered to the above mentioned address. Deadline is Wednesday Feb 26th, 2014 12:00 PM.
A pre Bid-meeting will take place on Wednesday Feb 19th, 2014 12:00 PM at Mercy Corps Office.
