Security & CCTV Officer

Millennium Hotel Ramallah, one of the Millennium chain hotels in the world and the only 5-star international hotel in Palestine, is soliciting a qualified candidate to fill the position of Security & CCTV Officer.

Job Brief:

The Security & CCTV Officer at Millennium Hotel Ramallah is responsible for securing guests, premises, and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment as per the internal policies, and supervision to maintain the hotel's stability and reputation. He is in charge of reporting irregularities, and prevent violations of safety policy and procedures, and keeping an eye on the CCTV displays in order to monitor and detect occurrences as well as acquire information and evidence when necessary.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Participate in managing the day-to-day activities of the Security Department and identify and implement improvement opportunities.
• Monitor and operate the CCTV cameras and associated equipment in the CCTV Control Room.
• Manage associated alarms and call monitoring.
• Attend and assist with all security-related events.
• Ensure the safety and security of people and property within public areas and other facilities via surveillance of the CCTV network.
• To be fully conversant with Operational Procedures and Guidance notes in manual held in the Security Office.
• Operate a range of remote call monitoring, alarms and communication facilities contained within the Control Room.
• Report any incidents that occur immediately to supervisors or Hotel General Manager and provide support/commentary to the Police and/or other relevant agency.
• Provide advice to the Security Manager on all aspects of the security operations, environmental health, safety, and security issues, as well as the operational efficiency of the Security Department.
• Attend and assist with all security-related events.
• To ensure a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance at all times.
• Display a pleasant manner and positive attitude at all times and to promote a good company image to guests and colleagues.
• Constantly apply standard operating procedures in your department.

Job Requirements:

• Academic diploma in a relevant field.
• First aid certification or knowledge is a plus.
• Minimum 2 years of work experience in a relevant role.
• Excellent leadership and teamwork abilities.
• Possess high levels of emotional control and integrity.
• Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4 hours in length.
• Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment in an emergency.
• Must be able to exert a well-paced ability to reach other departments of the hotel on a timely basis.
• Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability, and visual acuity.
