Security Guard

The World Health Organization invites experienced and qualified Palestinians to apply for the post of Security Guard to be based in the Jerusalem office.

Description of duties:

Under the supervision of the security focal point, with specific instructions from UNDSS, whose standards are to be followed, the incumbent performs the following functions:

• Patrols and maintains security of the office premises and grounds, including overnight guard duties, and reports any irregularities;

• Responds to emergencies affecting the safety of the premises and notifies supervisor and UNDSS;

• Controls admissions of authorized personnel and visitors, and

movements of United Nations property into and out of its premises;

• Performs any other duties as required and upon the request of the security focal point.

Qualifications required:

• Primary education.

• At least one year in a similar position in which trustworthiness and sound and quick judgment have been demonstrated.

• Fluent in Arabic and ability to communicate in English.
