Job Description
Palestine Trade Center (PalTrade) is a nongovernmental organization established in 1998.
PalTrade’s purpose is to lead the development of Palestinian Export as a driving force for sustainable national economic growth. As the National Export Development Organization
with membership of more than 200 Palestinian leading businesses, PalTrade advocates a competitive, enabling business environment and is dedicated to improving trade competitiveness through trade promotion and capacity building.
PalTrade is seeking candidates for the position of Senior Account to start immediately
-Work on the daily accounting and financial transactions of the institution’s branches and regional trade offices.
-Post all accounting transactions into the system and ensure completeness and accuracy of financial information.
-Ensure all supporting documentation and approvals are present for payments.
-Prepare financial reports to donors in accordance with the institution’s and donors’ policies and regulations.
-Monitor and clear receivables and payable.
-Maintain accounting records and files.
-Process payroll each month and prepare the salary receipt/payroll form.
-Prepare bank reconciliation.
-Facilitate provision of information and documentation during different types of institution’s and projects’ audits.
-Process petty cash transactions.
-Liaise with income tax authority and remit employee withholdings on a monthly basis.
-Prepare and update monitoring trackers for the available funds for projects.
-Review and approve all the work prepared by the accountant.
-Prepare budgets, ensures departments’ compliance with the set budgets, compares budget with actual figures, and reports variances.
-Prepare different types of financial reports and analyses for internal and external users on monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, annually and other basis.
-Prepare Purchase orders and various type of contracts.
-Safeguard the institution’s assets and ensure compliance with the institution’s manuals, donor contracts and agreements.
-Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by the Finance Manager.
-Perform other relevant tasks as requested and needed by the Managers.
