About UCASC:
The Union of Cooperative Associations for Saving and Credit “UCASC” is a democratic cooperative voluntary union dedicated to representing and protecting its members—the saving and credit cooperative associations in Palestine. Our mission is to institutionalize these cooperatives, build their capacities, and improve their legal environment. We aim to support the economically marginalized groups in Palestine, particularly in rural areas, by promoting cooperative principles and developing their skills and capabilities.

UCASC is committed to presenting and protecting its member associations by building their capacities and improving their legal environment. We aim to foster the development of marginalized groups in Palestinian rural areas, encouraging them to take economic, political, social, and cultural roles in the community.
Target Group:
UCASC targets saving and credit cooperative associations legally registered by the cooperative work agency “CWA” in Palestine. These independent associations have clear and transparent financial and administrative systems, managed by democratically elected boards. They finance their operations through collected savings from their members and provide necessary funding for economic projects and non-financial development services.
Job Summary:
UCASC is seeking a highly experienced Senior Accountant Officer to join our team in Ramallah. This role is essential to ensure that UCASC's accounts and financial records comply with the best accounting practices and financial policies, meeting the deadlines of various reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor financial control systems.
- Manage all aspects of the procurement process.
- Work with partner organizations, including due diligence, financial monitoring, and capacity building.
- Budgeting and forecasting processes and produce financial reporting for donor-funded projects.
- Manage and develop staff.
- Handle internal and external auditing processes and liaise with auditors.

Requirements:
- Degree in accounting or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in accountancy.
- Experience working with Ngo’s .
- Professional certifications are an asset.
- Good computer skills.
- Fluency in English and Arabic.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Knowledge in microfinance is an asset.
