Senior Associate/Attorney

“Kamal & Associates – Attorneys and Counsellors-at-Law” is Palestinian law office based in Al-Bireh - Ramallah, and provides legal services to dozens of Palestinian, regional and international clients coming from the private sector, international organizations, civil society, as well as to private individuals. The legal services provided by the office are mainly focused on business and corporate law; although they also cover other areas of law.

Kamal and Associates announces the opening of a “Senior Associate – Attorney” position at its offices in Al-Bireh - Ramallah. The incumbent of this position will be mainly focusing on drafting and reviewing contracts, assisting corporate clients in identifying potential legal risks in different legal instruments (contracts, MOUs, etc), conducting due diligence assignments, accompanying clients in relevant meetings with their counterparts, reviewing draft laws and by-laws and writing position paper thereon, participating in the drafting efforts of new laws and by-laws, among other things. The job will be based in Al-Bireh - Ramallah, but may also involve some travelling within the West Bank (and sometimes
beyond). This is a full time position.

Desired Qualifications:
A-A minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience as a practicing attorney, preferably in the areas of corporate law, contracts, and/or business law;
B-A Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university. A degree from a university where the language of instruction is English is strongly desirous;
C-Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English, including in legal terminology;
D-Ability and readiness to be at the office in Al-Bireh - Ramallah at least five days a week (Sunday through Thursday), from 8:30 – 5:00, or beyond;
E-Excellent communication and other interpersonal skills, and demonstrated professionalism;
F-Commitment and ability to work under pressure.
