Senior Development

Job Requirements

Use our proprietary software to create and maintain web data collection "agents", including custom logic in SQL, c#, python3, javascript and regular expressions.

Follow our Center of Excellence operating guidelines to ensure compliance, transparency and auditability of our operations.

Test the data collected, implement robust data validation logic, and configure scrapes to insure accuracy and quality.

Own the process to identify and rectify any issues as well as scale scrapes as needed.

Potentially: Take ownership of data products using data science techniques to evaluate, test and analyse data collected

The Successful Applicant

Experience running large scale web scrapes

Solid Python3 knowledge

Experience enriching data using third party APIs such as Microsoft Cognitive Services or IBM Watson to perform text analytics, sentiment analysis, OCR, etc.

Familiarity with Windows Desktop & Server, HTTP, HTML, Javascript, regular expression, SQL and Networking

Familiarity with techniques and tools for crawling, extracting and processing data (e.g. Proxies, pandas, mapreduce, SQL, BeautifulSoup, OCR, PDF extraction, etc.).

Familiarity with relational databases (SQL Server, Maria DB, PostGreSQL, etc.) and with NoSQL databases (Mongo DB, Azure Cosmos, etc.)

Experience with Windows system monitoring/administration tools

Experience with version control, and code review

Great communication skills (written and Spoken English)

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent demonstrated experience
