Senior Field Coordinator

International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC) is an international non-governmental development and relief organization, working worldwide to provide food, shelter, economic self-sufficiency, and hope. All assistance is provided on the basis of need.

IOCC seeks a Senior Field Coordinator to work in the Gaza Strip.

Summary of the Position:
The Senior Field Coordinator works at the direction of the IOCC Project Manager and IOCC Programs Manager in the operational implementation, supervision, and monitoring of IOCC projects in the Gaza Strip. The position includes staff supervision responsibilities, productive cooperation with local partners, and adherence to IOCC and donor policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
-Work closely with the IOCC Project Manager in the implementation of IOCC assistance activities in the Gaza Strip.
-Conduct regular field visits and monitoring of activities, following up with field staff and beneficiaries.
-Ensure productive cooperation with local partners and beneficiaries to ensure adherence to IOCC and donor policies and regulations.
-Provide technical support and supervision for field staff and subordinates.
-Provide support to strengthen and maintain systems and procedures.
-Support planning and project design processes.

Job Location: Gaza Strip

Knowledge and Skills:
-Proven knowledge and abilities in project management and coordination.
-Ability to work and to communicate effectively with partners and beneficiaries to ensure compliance with IOCC policies and procedures.
-Strong organizational skills.
-Ability to produce accurate work under tight deadlines.
-Well-developed interpersonal and team skills.
-Detail-oriented.
-Full computer literacy.
-Advanced verbal and written communications skills – fluency in English is mandatory.
-Valid driving license.
-Ability to work throughout the Gaza Strip.

Experience:
-Significant experience in field – level project implementation is mandatory.
-A minimum of five years’ related experience is preferred.
-Significant work experience with international NGOs is preferred.

Education:
-University degree in a relevant field is strongly preferred.
-Significant relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
