Senior Finance and Administration Officer, oPt
Medical Aid for Palestinians MAP-UK, works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees. MAP is seeking a highly skilled senior finance and administration officer based at MAP’s Ramallah office, to start mid-August 2014.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
-Management of all aspects of MAP’s financial administration systems in both Ramallah and Gaza offices, ensuring full compliance with MAP’s policies, standards and procedures.
-Management of oPt cost centers against agreed budgets, including preparation of annual budget, cash flow analysis, procurement and asset management, preparation and timely posting of monthly accounts, transfer requests and end of year accounts.
-Support directors of programs and program staff in ensuring effective management of the programs with partners and head office
-Oversee and support institutional grants proposal development and management, financial reporting, internal and external audits, and monitoring and training MAP staff and partners on finance and administrative requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
-BA in Accounting and Auditing or comparable qualification
-Three years of financial and management experience with day-to-day responsibility
for financial operations of an organization, preferably with a non-profit organization
-Excellent communication skills - fluent in English and Arabic both written and oral
-Excellent administrator with proven skills in maintaining management information systems
-Excellent skills in financial record keeping and committed to maintaining basic accounting systems with full integrity
-Computer literacy and IT skills especially in the use of spreadsheets and maintenance of electronic information systems
-Experience working with Bisan accounting software
