Senior Full Stack Developer

We’re looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer with at least 6 years of experience to join our development team. The role requires a strong technical foundation in TypeScript, Node.js, React, and AWS. You’ll work on developing and maintaining scalable, high-performance applications, focusing on robust APIs that are integral to our products

This role involves close collaboration with product and data teams to ensure high-quality software delivery. It’s a great opportunity to lead impactful projects that contribute to sustainability and climate change initiatives

Responsibilities

• Full-stack development: Architect, design, and develop scalable web applications and services using Node.js, React, TypeScript, and AWS.
• API Development: Contribute to the design and maintenance of efficient and secure APIs that support our product offerings.
• Leadership and mentoring: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other developers, setting an example for code quality and best practices.
• Architectural decisions: Take part in or lead discussions on major architectural decisions to ensure the scalability, performance, and security of our systems.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to align engineering efforts with business objectives and deliver impactful features.
• CI/CD & Testing: Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and testing frameworks to ensure reliable, high-quality releases.
• Cloud & Infrastructure: Optimize and maintain cloud-based infrastructure on AWS, ensuring smooth, scalable operations.
• Continuous improvement: Foster a culture of learning and improvement within the team, encouraging the adoption of new tools and technologies where appropriate.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on full-stack engineering.
• Proficiency in Node.js, React, TypeScript
• Experience with AWS (We use services like Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, SQS, S3…)
• Experience designing and building scalable APIs.
• Strong background in CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
• Solid understanding of modern development practices and methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of projects and lead technical decisions.
• Experience working in fast-paced environments.
  
  

  Nice to Have

  • Experience with serverless backends e.g AWS Lambda
  • Experience with Python and AWS Sagemaker
  • Degree in computer science or a related subject
