Senior Infrastructure Engineer
ANERA is an international, non-profit, non-governmental organization implementing infrastructure projects in the West Bank and Gaza. ANERA is recruiting for the Palestinian Community Infrastructure Development (PCID) Program, a USAID-funded program for the following position:
Senior Infrastructure Engineer – Hebron Office
-Assignment of Tasks, and evaluation of performance of Infrastructure Engineers.
-onducting field visits to the communities, and to project sites.
-Providing guidance/supervision to Infrastructure Engineers in terms of monitoring planning, and reporting
General Roles and Responsibilities:
on project activities.
-Responsible for the overall Quality Control of on-going projects.
-Ensures Personnel Safety of all parties (engineers, authorized visitors, public...etc) at construction sites,
through overseeing construction safety practices are properly addressed at all works sites.
-Ensure Environmental Practices during project implementation are followed and in and full adherence to
Environmental Mitigation Measures.
-Coordination with PA ministries representatives (at the Directorate and Regional Level) on project imple-
mentation details.
-Ensures proper contractual/engineering participates are followed during project implementation and project handing over.
-Ensures that proper operation/maintenance/training procedures are followed and implemented.
-Overall project reporting including overseeing of site reporting, progress reporting, project budget con-
trol...etc.
-An undergraduate degree in Civil/Construction/Architectural Engineering, a graduate degree in related fields is a plus, with a minimum of 10 years of experience, preferably with a background working with USAID funded organizations.
Minimum Requirements:
-Well-founded experience working in senior positions on construction sites.
-Strong personality and leadership skills, in addition to excellent communication skills.
-Excellent computer software skills, including Microsoft Office Applications, AutoCAD and other engineering software, as well as Internet research abilities.
-Arabic and English fluency (both oral and written) is essential. Excellent reporting skills is a must.
-Strong leadership, organizational, communication and prioritization skills.
-Flexibility, excellent interpersonal, and the ability to work well with all levels of internal and external contacts.
-An expressed interest in international development through coursework, travel, and/or internship experience is desired.
-Possession of a clean driving license, in addition to a good geographical knowledge of the area
-Ability to travel all around the West Bank.
