Senior Java and jQuery Developers

Tetra Tech DPK is implementing the Justice Sector Assistance Project (JSAP) III under a contract funded by the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL). JSAP III supports the Public Prosecution Offices (PPOs), the Palestinian Civil Police (PCP) and the Military Justice Commission across the West Bank.

JSAP III is seeking to hire qualified personnel to fill the following positions:

Senior Java and jQuery Developers (2 positions)

Senior Java and jQuery Developer will be embedded in the beneficiaries’ offices.
-Primary tasks of the Senior Java and jQuery Developers include:
-Serve as a member of the development team working on a large scale business solution. The solution includes: enterprise application development, smart client application, web application and database application development;
-The successful candidate/s will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of enterprise-level products;
-The ideal candidates should be experienced, self-motivated and flexible programmers, with a thorough understanding of the full software development life cycle. They must also possess strong hands-on development experience,
intricate understanding of user experience as well as the ability to create high quality web products.

Candidates should meet the following minimum requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
-In depth knowledge of the jQuery framework and related plug-ins
-Minimum of three years’ experience with Java scripts, HTML/XHTML, DOM, CSS, XML, XSL/XSLT, and JSON
-Minimum of three years’ experience in web applications (both front and backend)
-Experience with SQL (ideally Postage)
-Minimum of three years’ experience working with web server technology (Apache, Tomcat)
-Experience with reporting framework (Jasper Reports desired)
-Demonstrated track record of strong UI development capabilities
-Possess strong object oriented analysis and design techniques
-Strong demonstrated analysis and problem solving skills
-Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks as well as being part of a team
