Senior JIRA Confluence Specialist

The Application and Process Development department within TRANSCEND Information Technology is seeking an Atlassian Developer. The candidate will play a role in the configuration and administration of tools that support the IT Development processes and the Demand and Delivery work. They will also take care of workflow automation, creation of reports / dashboards and build scripts to trouble shoot and maintain the Postgress database.

• Support analysis and management of the portfolios of work with a focus on Demand (Work Intake) Management, Product and Service Management, Project Management, and Delivery.
• Demonstrate the ability to access data, analyze data outputs, and visualize the results to provide meaningful information sources that provide valuable optics and insights. Build dashboards and reports based on data sets from various sources such as JIRA. Be able to produce integrated Reporting and Dashboards for stakeholders and steering committees.
• Provide tool support to all stakeholders. Utilize JIRA software, JIRA Portfolio, Jira Service Management, Confluence, and other tools to facilitate effective work intake, service management and delivery.
• Create queries in JQL, Postgress SQL, S-JQL
• Create reports / dashboards in JIRA and Confluence using queries, structure, dataplane and JSM reporting
• Create integration into JIRA Service Management (Insight) and design objects / assets to support the workflows in JIRA
• Automation of processes in the Atlassian Suite using SIL Scipt, Groovy Script and Scriptrunner and other scripting languages.
• Propose solutions to problems and challenges, raising them up effectively to appropriate parties for resolution.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related Information Technology field
  • Knowledge of project management and Agile methodologies is desirable
  • Highly motivated team player with excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to become a SME in the automation and reporting of TRANSCEND’s JIRA/Confluence platform.
  • Exeperience in SQL (ideally JQL and S-JQL)
  • Experience in Postgress Data Base Administration / scripting
  • Experience with JIRA, JIRA Service Management and confluence
  • Experience in workflow automation (ideally with Atlassian tools)
