Senior Manager for Strategic Partnerships

Save the Children is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Senior Manager for Strategic Partnerships (SMSP) to work for an anticipated USAID funded program “Partnerships for Youth” focusing on expanding educational and leadership oppurtunities for youth throughout the West Bank by creating sustainable hubs for youth innovation and learning.
The Senior Manager for Strategic Partnerships (SMSP) will provide management oversight and leadership for all public and private partnership development activities throughout the life of the Partnerships for Youth program. A qualified leader in business development and market-oriented development activities, the SMSP also possesses significant experience in the private sector developing strategic partnerships and/or corporate social responsibility portfolios.
Requirements
-A combination of education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelors degree and 7 years of experience in international development and/or corporate community engagement/corporate social responsibility and/or strategic partnerships.
-Understanding of business and business practices preferred, either through education (e.g. MBA) or other practical business- and for-profit related activities required.
-Knowledge of international development issues from the perspective of companies and governments, especially in youth development, human rights, and integrated community development is required.
-Experience in developing partnerships at the institutional level, building working teams, coalitions and alliances between organizations is required.
-Understanding of best practices in working with municipal and local governments required.
-Practical experience working on corporate social responsibility, corporate partnerships, or international foundation management a plus.
-A proven track record in generating funds / contracts to advance programmatic objectives required.
-Experience in business development and/or familiarity with proposal writing is preferable.
-Excellent analytical skills – the ability to analyse complex financial data and design and produce effective management information a plus.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to manage a complex and diverse workload and to work to tight deadlines.
-Ability to contribute to a small, proactive team, motivating staff and working collaboratively with colleagues and providing support and advice as necessary.
-A full appreciation of the value of co-operation, both internationally and within a team environment.
-Understanding of Save the Children’s International vision and mission and a commitment to its objectives.
-Written and verbal fluency in English and Arabic required.
