Job Description
Sounds of Palestine is a non-profit community music program that combines music and social work in order to develop the social and emotional skills of underprivileged children. It is active in the area of Bethlehem since 2012 and is implemented by a registered Foreign Association Branch of a Swiss Organization. We run a kindergarten program and an afterschool program and most of the participating children live in refugee camps. In the afterschool program the children receive instrument lessons, orchestra, choir, music theory and art lessons. Group teaching and orchestra playing are the main pillars, offering the children a safe space to practice and develop skills needed for a successful and healthy community.

We are looking for a Senior Program Manager
The post holder reports directly to the Managing Director, with whom all objectives and tasks of the program must be agreed. The job holder is responsible for everything necessary to implement the goals and tasks in the program on the ground and to ensure a smooth program flow.
Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Organize and manage the overall program on the ground and provide effective leadership
- Ensure the culture of the whole organization reflects its mission and vision in all daily activities
- Cover all aspects of human resources incl. effective staff development
- Contribute to financial and budget processes and keep the budget
- Follow up on strategic plan and ensure proper execution
- Implement child protection and safeguarding policies

Job Requirements
Knowledge, skills, and abilities of the ideal candidate:
- Minimum a Batchelor degree or comparable in Business Administration, Management, or some other related field
- Musical and educational background is a plus.
- At least five years of experience in management and leadership
- Good skills as trainer, facilitator, mentor, and coach
- Good social and communication skills including nonviolent communication
- Experience in intercultural environment
- Experience in working with children and teenagers
- Skills in strategic development
- Good project management skills including monitoring and evaluation
- Passion for the development of a future-oriented program including leading a committed and responsible team
- Advanced MS Office skills.
- Native language Arabic with very good English skills in writing and verbal
