In order to support the programme “Train the Trainers” Programme, we are looking for a full time (100%)
Senior Programme Advisor

Responsibilities & tasks include but not limited to:

Independently managing the component in accordance with project goals agreed upon with the partner, and/or the superior
Providing professional advice to partners and cooperating with important stakeholders
Supporting the Programme Manager in the selection of an international consultancy company
Providing orientation to the international consulting company in the establishment and implementation of a qualification system for TVET personnel
Providing orientation to the international consulting company in conceptualizing the component in close cooperation with the ministries and the private sector
Coordinating all activities with the partner organizations
Advising partner institutions on order clarification, identifying needs, developing concepts and strategies and providing technical input
Participating in identifying needs for external support and advice
Monitoring the development and implementation of programme plans and activities as well as reviewing reports and documents and identifying bottlenecks and recommendations
Dealing with the design, preparation and implementation of workshops, seminars and other events
Developing and organizing quality assurance measures and suggesting necessary changes, improvements and initiatives
Following up on services and deliverables agreed upon in the contract with the consulting company, e.g. reporting, delivering consultancy services and materials
Reporting to the Programme Manager

Job Requirements

Required qualifications, competences and experience

Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience in a comparable position
Bachelors degree in management and accounting or comparable
Profound experience in managing complex projects
Strong analytical and conceptual skills
Experience with project cycle management
Knowledge in didactics and teaching methodology as well as curriculum development
Work experience in the private sector is an asset
Good knowledge of GIZ instruments and methods
Excellent networking and communication skills
Excellency in Arabic and English (speaking, writing and reading); German is an important asset
Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
Knowledge in vocational education and training
Ability to work under pressure
