Duration:                 6 months (with possible extension of 12 months)

Within the framework of the Millennium Development Goal – Trust Fund, funded by the
Government of Spain, the Senior Programme Assistant will undertake the following
main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Organize and hold regular meetings with project partners
• Liaise regularly with MDG – Gender project officer in Gaza
• Ensure the implementation of the UNIFEM component of the monitoring and evaluation plan for the programme
• Prepare all written status reports (narrative and financial), as requested, and regularly
report to UNIFEM office
• Ensure regular financial monitoring to ensure compliance with the approved Project
action plans and budget; suggest budget revisions according to the monitoring and
the implementation of the project and revise budget
• Draft yearly budget work plans
• Coordinate and work closely with the joint programme participating Agencies’ project staff.
Qualifications:
High school and or diploma; 4-6 years of professional experience in related field.
