First Option is looking for Senior Transportation Engineer for USAID Infrastructure Project to be located in Ramallah according to the following:
 
Responsibilities but not limited to:

-    Take full responsibility for the roads design processes and quality control.
-    Assist the Design Manager with the preparation of sub-consultant scopes of work and managing schedule and deliverables.
-    Lead the design management team with planning, scheduling and management of all roadway related tasks.
-    Coordinate with environmental, permitting and cost estimating departments.
-    Oversee the preparation and coordination of each year’s RFTOP documents for tendering by USAID.
-    Assist the Local Lead with planning and development of conceptual designs, schedules and preliminary costs for future roadway projects and presentations to USAID
-    Assist USAID in coordinating efforts with the MOPWH and other PA entities to prioritize potential road projects.
-    Prepare assessment reports, prepare and review cost estimates, cost-benefit analyses (or any other reports as requested by USAID), and make recommendations on potential projects to USAID.
-    Perform field visits, site inspections, and geotechnical analyses as needed.
-    Provide support and assistance to USAID to develop procurement packages and during solicitation process for construction projects, including cost estimates, environmental and climate change impact studies, and any other studies or support required and/or requested by USAID.
-    Coordinate with the MOPWH, as well as relevant Israeli entities, to secure construction permits for the projects.
-    Provide Support to the Construction Management and the Operations and Maintenance group regarding roadway related design.


Qualifications:

-    Advanced University Degree ( Master or equivalent )in Civil Engineering
-    Minimum of 15 years’ experience in related field of work.

Specific requirements:

-    Familiar to USAID Requirements and procedures.
-    English Language fluency, spoken and written.
-    Good team working skills – works well with others
-    Valid Driving License.
